Here's from the POV of a GM (in my opinion, I think the others will agree with me). Season 1 we knew that the 4 of us would be the lone workmen in keeping the league up, running game rooms, reffing, recording, doing match reports, and keeping the stats leaderboards up to date. Season 2 came around, and we tried to lessen the load on th e4 of us by having volunteers meet us halfway. unfortunately both sides didnt really hold up their ends of the deal at some points and hence the disorganization this season.

I see that many of you on the forum are pleading for expansion in seasons to come. However, new teams can't be added until there are teams to be added meaning there simply arent enough people who will show up on a regular basis for games for 6 different teams. Now, i'm not saying that I am against expansion because anyone who wants this league to become stronger knows that expansion is a vital part of doing so. That being said, I AM against premature expansion because if we do that and don't have the means to back it up, it'll all come crumbling down and who wants that?

Think of it as building a highrise: it starts with a strong foundation, in this case the foundation being the original 4 teams. Without this foundation, there's no where to go, everything is built from the ground up.

Now, I haven't just made this thread to voice my opinion on this, but also to tell you all how we can solve this. During the offseason, each and everyone of you need to take the initiative in recruiting new faces to the league. As the famous quote my Mahatma Gandhi goes, "Be the change you want to see in the world". Along with this, we need to change our mindset of recruiting people. You see, this type of league is much, much harder to recruit because not many people actually know how to play haxfootball. That being said, the way hosts for HFL pubs run their rooms is completely counteractive of people trying to bring in new players. If you see a new player who doesn't know the rules, link him to the official rulebook of hfl (http://haxfootball.createaforum.com/news/league-rules/) and allow them to sit in and watch a few games before putting them in to try for themselves.

How do you guys expect to get new players if you won't even give them a chance to learn how to play the game? Just like the cure for a deadly disease may be trapped inside the mind of an uneducated person, the next big star of HFL may be trapped in any of those "noobs" who come to our pubs. Treat them in high regard, they are the future of this league.

there's a forum badge system, and I made a badge for all the ssn 1 otters championship team, yet it doens't show up in the forum for some reason.

Next time, don't even go as far as to post this thread; Refs are humans, they have to make split second calls for an hour straight, and no matter which way it went someone was going to end up butthurt. Losing with dignity is a far better achievement then what you may feel you have gained from posting this hate-aimed thread. You do realize that it's threads like this, attitudes like this, and players like this who are bringing the league down,  right?

Think of it this way: if this website were to disappear overnight, what would it matter? That's right, it wouldn't, because this is a game; and do you know why we play this game? We play this game because we search for distractions from other aspects of life and it gives us a sense of community to scribe to, but once again if the community is destroying itself from the inside out, such as internal bleeding, well then we are all just unhappy people, and just like that the unhappy people feel the league is not a shrine that makes them feel better, but one that they are ashamed to be a part of and want to high tail it out of.

It is reasons such as the one above that when a disputable call was made on the first play of otters vs. No fly Zone, instead of posting a negative, derogatory thread calling people out who were within the margins of human error I settled it delicately behind closed doors.  You need to evaluate why you came here; it was to have fun wasn't it? So stop getting in your own way, and move on.
