yeah i don't really see what i said that inclined you to say "dont start arguing"

and technically it is a "is it a td or not thread". i mean that's why you want it, to see if KP tipped it. meaning it wouldn't have been a td.

i'd like to see it also.

but let's be real here. making that td was actually giving you a chance to score and had you did you would of won. If we didnt get the td we coulda milked out the rest of the 2mins and scored a fg. of course 40 yard field goals arent a guarantee but with SM kicking, well just look at his past kicks. and that isnt including the down or 2 that we had to gain more yards. anyway.. was a good game but next time if you want to challenge, make sure you're recording

i just don't see the logic in reing the 4th quarter. i mean, you got a re on that down. that down wasnt taken from you. to re the 4th quarter is like the same solution as reing the down that we did. all we can do is take this game and try to improve the rules on what refs can do and how these situations have to be handled.

to me this game is about being on the field playing, taking every opportunity i get, seeing as my ping is so inconsistent i don't know how long i'll have to play in a game, so on every play i enjoy it. you guys had a re down, and you didn't convert on it. we earned that stop. but you are right what was the purpose of reing the down? did blaster not know if you guys had the first? was it nate's controversial encroachment call that got blaster confused? in a time of confusion sometimes the best thing to do is just re it, and everyone gets another fair shot at it. confusion is no excuse to do a poor job but this league is filled with it. and with the lack of referee's knowledge on rules (or the actual lack of rules this league has) it's no wonder we have so many controversies. i myself am no longer going to participate in arguing over whether if we earned something or not or if the call was correct or not. i'm always down for a re for the fact i like playing the game as much as i can because i don't get to play it often, nothing to do with the fact that you think you actually deserve one. but it's not my call.

well the only thing considerable that is coming to my mind is this.

we could have a third party game clock that the referee manages. ref will stop the clock on incomplete passes, timeouts, and when a player goes out of bounds. the ref will have to be very precise and do a good job at managing the clock for this to work. but overall it gives more actual playing time instead of letting the clock run out when setting up the ball or when it accidentally gets kicked far away or anything like that.

i mean there's nothing wrong with running down the clock if you're ahead. nfl does it all the time. it's just we need to set limits with how much time they can actually waste. problem here is even if they do go beyond the set time, you can call a penalty on them or whatever but yet the clock will still keep running because we can't stop it. so yeah the current thing is really exploitable and even though my option probably doesnt seem like the right choice, i think it's better than the current way we play. just imo

yeah that was what i was planning on doing. the total i paid for the domain + 1month hosting was 30 dollars so i figured since this site was back up i'd get a refund and not bother with their accusations that i was hosting a hacking site. so like i said if i feel this league gets a little bit more organized on rules and activeness i will consider trying to start up a real site for this. what i mean by the rules part is, as it stands right now i'm not a fan of how the clock system works. it just seems easily exploitable by teams that are ahead to just run the clock out if they want to and then there is the delay of getting the ball and setting it back up while the clock still runs.

well i see as of right now some people are hosting haxfb pubs which is good. if you're wondering why i'm complaining about activeness and don't even join your room, it's because i can't. hoping falcons or illhaveanother or some1 else i can connect to will host a room. i know i cant get into cals, glu's, or mikevicks room.

General Discussion / So when the site was down...
« on: April 05, 2013, 05:17:16 pm »
i made haxfb.com to hopefully be a more reliable website for our league. but apparently i violated hostgator's ToS somehow and i had to call them and they asked me if "haxfb" was a hacking site. I told them what it was about and they still kind of didn't understand. (was kind of awkward telling them what the site was for) and so they still requested me to change the name of the domain but since this site was back up i figured i'd just get a refund and not have to deal with them. i guess this free forum is good for now but once this league gets bigger i really would like it's own .com for it.

i've been trying to look for a haxfootball game in a pub on weekdays and i see nothing. do you guys only play once a week in league games and thats it? i want this league to grow and get more players and teams but the lack of games all week in pubs doesnt do any good. in the beginning this was a hot thing there always was a room up if you wanted to play. now it just seems dead which is ironic because we now have a league. idk if it's just me but me persoanlly i never see any haxfootball rooms up. i'd host it myself but nobody would probably be able to connect because of my router, let alone my terrible connection.

in the picture falcons is giving you really have to zoom in a lot to make the call. meaning, the normal eye can't really tell, meaning it's a pretty close call. so what happened today could have gone either way. this happens all the times in sports and teams get mad but honestly this call is not a big deal and shouldn't have a discussion like this. i'd be mad if it was a clear biased call but falcons is on nobody's side here his team wasnt playing. did he make the right call, i dont know, i zoomed in on his pic and it was so pixelated you can't even tell. time to move on
